I try not to sound like I am whining...

It was a humbling experience, standing in front out there, facing all the experts, scrutinised for not being able to answer questions during the Q and A session, felt like a total idiot...

Self-esteem all lost, preparations all gone down the drain, wonder how I am going to face the people in school again...if only my relationships with my peers were better...

I have no idea why my reply to a friend's lj entry appeared on my lj main. I am not sure whether it was my blunder or was it the system's fault, but most likely it's the former. Why did such a thing happen? I have no answer, but I do realise that my memory is deteriorating quite badly, sometimes I would even forget where I was heading in the middle of a bus-ride, and I would forget to buy things even if the shops were along the way home, and I would forget to bring this and that for lectures...with a poor memory, everything is so inconvenient...

It is so hard to please my supervisor, now that I am nearing the deadline for my project, he expects me to write a programme to illustrate an example in my paper. I have not touched basic programming skills since my first year and now he expects me to pick it up again and design a programme within a short span of three weeks. While other students are already wrapping things up, and all ready to submit their report, after the last editing phase, I am stucked at writing this stupid programme for my paper. It is not as if I have tied up all my loose ends and have nothing better to do. I still havent done my editing yet. Why he so geh zua? Maybe he meant well, and hopes to push for a higher grade for my paper, but I really dun care, just give me a B and I am happy enough.

I received comments from a friend saying that my lj is dry and uninteresting. I couldn't agree more. I have not made any efforts to maintain it albeit the fact that I only had a two day school week. One of the possible excuses that I could think of would be how much I like to sleep. I am so impressed with myself for being able to sleep continuously for more than 10 hours (except for the short interval of time I woke up to eat my lunch). I believed if not because there is this calling at the back of my mind to do my assignments , I could sleep for eternity. Time is really passing very quickly, few more weeks and my first draft is due but I see no signs of an end to it yet, not even close. Hope everything turns out well at the end of it, will try to rush whenever I can, whenever I am not tempted to sleep.

We had dinner at Stewie's place on Saturday night, was surprised how much food his mum had cooked for us, and wondered how much effort had to go into preparing for the meal, her cooking was delicious, finally had the chance to taste her cooking, for the majority of the rest, that was probably the second time they tasted her cooking. After the sumptuous meal, we played the all-time favourite, game-of-the-year, mafia, which after a while, got quite boring, since the group was small and because of players like me who had only one expression regardless of whether I was the mafia or not. After liang and querky arrived, we went down to the yishun safra club to bowl, though it was already quite late, there was still quite a crowd down there. I wasn't at all ready to play, but dunnoe who anyhow made the decision for me and even paid for my share so I could not back out. Everyone had very high scores, but luckily for me, I did not embarrass myself much, still managed to hit some pins. I could not remember how long ago I last bowled but I was sure I didn't bowl more than 5 times in my whole life. After the exciting bowling game, we went for supper.

The next day, I went to hushy's place for mahjong session. Luckily for his invitation, otherwise my Sunday would be spent rotting at home, sleeping away my time. Had lunch at his place, his mum was very hospitable and nice, and cooked nice curry and bee hoon. Was quite embarrassed cos I forgot to bring oranges, just faked ignorance for the rest of the day. Finally, all the players arrived, including stewie, nonk and felixx. At around 7, stewie had to leave for a play and nonk had to go somewhere else. Luckily, liang came and we carried on the game with hushy taking over stewie's place. This group of people were more fun, especially when hushy and felixx were together, they had a lot of chemistry, and the jokes they cracked I felt was funny ( though querky would beg to differ :P). There were a few times we could not carry on with the game and had to time-off to cool down or complete the laughing convul~sions. Felixx was very quick thinking and witty at his sarcastic comments, and hushy was very drama. Quite a few times, I became the target of their jokes because of some mistakes I made while playing. I could not halp laughing at myself too, especially when hushy's mum was behind me watching us play... haha, she laughed along too when I made the blunders.

Playing mahjong is really a nice way to interact with friends, at least it let me know felixx and hushy more, and made me changed my opinions of them. It was a well-spent mahjong session, not only because of the game itself, but also because of the interesting players who were all too crazy and bitchy.
